Toona

Went to the tour de toona this past week. I thought it would be good and it did go ok for the first couple of stages. The 3rd stage didn't go so well. Long story short, it was hot and there wasn't enough liquid going in. Lost lots of time and dug a deep hole with the body. Loren came and helped out and did a great job. If she wouldn't of came with us we wouldn't have even made it to the third stage. Anyway, made it back home to Tennessee late lastnight. Rock Fish are in the river now and its time to start gettin my string stretched. Yours truly....

bad luck

Finished up the Fitchburg Longsjo yesterday. It started out kind of bad, but ended up being ok. I was hit by a car in the time trial and lost a lot of time and a little skin. The head official told me that she would give me some time on GC after the crash, but the next day she refused to give me any time back. After day one I was already 3 min back on GC. The next couple of days were pretty painfull because my hand took most of the damage in the crash. It was hard to even hang onto the bars half of the time and the courses aren't the smoothest around. Other than that I thought Fitchburg was really good for the team. The team rode awesome. We had two guys in the break in the road race and one guy in each of the main breaks of the crit. Caleb was 11th in the circuit race and 10th in the crit. Look out for this guy, he's going to be good.

Next is Nationals and then maybe home. Just got the word today that we may not be doing Toona again this year. That would be a bummer.
